TTM is an acronym for Tickle Trunk and More as this is where it all began in 1989 when the husband and wife team of Hal and Deb Puder began using balloons in their basement to create gift bouquets and event decor. Both have backgrounds as sales reps in the floral, card, gift and novelty wholesale industry and when a space became available The Tickle Trunk balloon, party, costume, card, gift and novelty shop was born.
The TTM Events brand was introduced about 5 years later when they moved to a larger store in Orchard Plaza and started marketing to an adult audience with wedding and corporate decor plus fresh flowers. To be taken more seriously in this market, the name TTM Events was added along with the first bridal show in the Okanagan which they owned for 16 years! Eventually a second store was added that was devoted to this market while The Tickle Trunk remained at the original location and expanded in to the Halloween phenomenon while still supplying the balloon and party market.Times change and move was made to The Stewart Centre in 2015 that combined both businesses together again.
Now after 30 years, 1200 weddings and 600 corporate events TTM Events and The Tickle Trunk operate from their warehouse space still located in The Stewart Centre in response to the pandemic and the resulting cancellations of wedding and corporate events. However both remain the most experienced and knowledgeable event decor supplier in the Okanagan. Deb and Hal have certainly had an exciting, challenging and interesting journey during their ongoing career in the balloon and party, wedding and event business in the Okanagan.
